Each Wednesday I will post a list of resources. Please feel free to comment on any you find helpful/annoying, etc. My vision is to have a resource list that grows through your comments, as well as to get new ideas for future posts. Remember, the blog will contain easy access to past posts, including last year's lists.
The first two suggestions are links to articles about jumping right into technology in this "back to school" phase.
Back to School technology activities article by Education World
Back to School Technology Lessons. One featured is Wordle. I’ll be doing a workshop on Wordle at some point this year
The next section refers to websites that feature Internet Projects. Take a look and think about getting involved in a project! If you decide to do so and you need assistance, let me know....
Global Schoolhouse

This site is an “Internet Project Registry”. Search their database for projects currently in progress or future projects that you would like to take part in. You can even post a project of your own! Word on the street is that there are over 1,000 projects in the database to look through.
The Collaboratory

The Collaboratory is a site maintained by Northwestern University (although it is not limited to only Illinois educators). The good news is that the projects incorporate Illinois State Standards.
Jenuine Tech

This site has projects geared toward the pre k- 6th grade classrooms. The interface is very inviting. If you are interested click on the “projects” tab, then click on “past projects” to see some examples.
